GENERAL PURPOSE OF APPLICATION
For performing user defined measurement tasks with programming features.
Connecting possibility of an RS-485 serial line to PC, max. 32 units on one cable
Gamma’s novelty is that the analyser is built into the detector itself. This design is creating an intelligent
detector that contains all of the necessary electronic units. Its microcontroller not only forwards the
spectrums but analyses and separates the impulses according to width and amplitude, in case of using
compound scintillators and forwards the measurement results towards the data acquisition unit. Above
all the spectrum stabilizer circuit that measures the LED’s light, built in the NaI crystal, allows long
endurance and maintenanceless operation even under extreme climatic circumstances.
The built-in electronics contain a memory modul large enough to perform the user defined specific
measurement tasks. The regulation of the power supply is mastered digitally, so the individual
calibration procedure can be performed easily and precisely. The new detector is an excellent tool for
measuring specific radioisotopes in special and ordinary environments with high sensitivity. The detector
can be assembled with compound scintillator to examine the quality and quantity of any radiation and
differentiate the alpha, beta and gamma radiation. The output signal may be connected to a PC.
